Heathrow Airport Transfer
When arriving on Heathrow Airport you may get a little dizzy at first, especially if you have not traveled with airplanes a lot. The airport is really big and full of shops, restaurants and quite a few number of offices so it may be difficult for you to find your way to the exit, even if signs will help make this job easier for you. As a GPS will not really help you in this situation, we thought of making a short article in order to point one the most important things you need to know when arriving on Heathrow. Below you will find interesting things about the location of the most important places in Heathrow (e.g. the Information Desk, the baggage reclaim spot, meeting points) and about the areas where you can be picked-up by a Heathrow Airport Transfer.
Where to meet the transfer driver at Heathrow Airport?

Immigration and passports area at Heathrow Airport
The first thing you will do after arriving on Heathrow is getting through Immigration and Passports, which is clearly signposted. You will find two queues at passport control: the first one is for European Union (EU)*, European Economic Area (EEA), British and Swiss nationals, and the second for all other countries.
At the passport desk an officer will request to check your passport or travel papers and any assisting documentation needed for your visit to London. Please keep in mind that your passport should not expire in the course of your visit to the United Kingdom.
Baggage reclaim area
After Immigration and passports, the arrivals signs will guide you to the baggage reclaim area. Search for your flight on the information monitors and wait for confirmation that you can pick-up your luggage. When your luggage is ready, the carousel number will be shown.
Free trolleys will be provided in order to be easier for you to carry your baggage. A great number of trolleys will be available in the reclaim hall.
Baggage managing and distribution is the duty of the airlines from the point of check-in to the point of picking up. If something is left on an aircraft or an airline bus, please contact the relevant airline immediately.
UK Customs
After passing the baggage reclaim area you may ask yourself to which customs channel you should head to now, as there are two on Heathrow Airport. If your trip began in a European Union nation your hand luggage will have a green-edged tag and you have nothing to declare – go to the blue exit. If you have items to declare, you should head to the red Customs point.
If your trip started in a state outside the European Union your hand luggage will have a white tag – head to the red point if you have goods to declare or the green exit if you do not.
